    Air China has now introduced branded fares in economy class on international and regional routes from/to China. We now offer four fare options: Economy Standard, Economy Flex, Economy Comfort, and Economy Latitude. You can choose the most suitable ticket refund and rebooking rules, free checked baggage allowances, and member mileage benefits based on different travel needs.

    Economy Standard does not allow ticket refunds, and rebooking is subject to a fee. Some routes under this brand do not include a free checked baggage allowance.

    Economy Flex allows ticket refunds and rebooking with a fee. Depending on the route, passengers may enjoy a free checked baggage allowance of either one piece at 23kg or two pieces at 23kg for each.

    Economy Comfort allows ticket refunds with a fee and free rebooking. Depending on the route, passengers may enjoy a free checked baggage allowance of either one piece at 23kg or two pieces at 23kg for each. They receive a certain amount of additional non-qualified miles.

    Economy Latitude allows both ticket refunds and rebooking without incurring fees. Depending on the route, passengers may enjoy a free checked baggage allowance of either one piece at 23kg or two pieces at 23kg for each. They receive a higher amount of additional non-qualified miles, with up to an additional 3000 non-qualified miles on long-haul routes.

In order to meet market demand for flights to America, Air China will operate Beijing-Madrid-Sao Paulo flights from April 28, 2024. There will be one flight every Thursday and Sunday from Beijing. The first shift date is April 28th.

In order to further facilitate personnel exchanges, the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Spain will implement appointment-free application for visas to China starting from November 20, 2023.


Applicants log in to the Chinese visa online form filling system (https://bio.visaforchina.org/#/nav/quickSelection?visacenterCode=MAD2&request_locale=zh_CN&site_alias=MAD2_ZH&isAuthentication=N). After completing the online form filling, they can hold the paper application form and complete Visa application materials must be submitted during the office hours of the corresponding Chinese Visa Application Service Center (working days: 9:00-15:30).


To facilitate applicants to submit applications efficiently and smoothly, please note:


1. Please ensure that the information filled in the application form is accurate and bring complete visa application materials. Applicants can click on the "Visa" item in the "Specific Steps" column on the Visa Center webpage (https://www.visaforchina.cn/MAD2_ZH/index.shtml), select the visa type according to the purpose of traveling to China, and check the specific material requirements.

2. After canceling the visa appointment, the visa center may experience a large flow of people during peak hours. It is recommended that applicants reasonably arrange their visa application time according to their itinerary to China.

3. After entering the certificate hall, please follow the instructions of the on-site staff, queue up to get a number, and wait patiently for the number to be called at the window.

4. Applicants who have made an appointment for November 20 or later can be prioritized with their appointment voucher if they submit their application within the corresponding time period of the appointment date.

Air China resumes direct flight CA846 Barcelona-Beijing from June 1, 2023. The flight operates every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and takes off from Terminal 1 of Barcelona El Prat Airport. The check-in counters will open at 08:00 on the day of departure of the flight. Because it is the peak travel season in Barcelona, it will take longer for security checks and border inspections than usual. From June 10, 2023, Air China's Madrid-Beijing-Madrid direct flight capacity will increase to four flights per week, with flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Before March 27, the flight CA908 Madrid-Beijing takes off from Madrid at 13:40 and lands in Beijing at 7:30 the next morning. Flight CA908's Madrid departure time has been adjusted from 21:15 p.m. to 13:40 p.m., and its landing time in Beijing is 7:30 a.m. the next morning.          In order to meet the pressing travel needs of Chinese citizens who are living or traveling in Western Europe during the pandemic, Air China Limited (hereinafter referred to as Air China)will be resuming flights between Madrid and Beijing starting from July 2022.Flights will operate every Saturday, with the first flight scheduled for July2.

        In accordance with the latest announcement issued by the Chinese Embassy and consulates in Spain, please pay attention to the following information:

        1. Passengers traveling from Madrid to Beijing are required to take two nucleic acid tests. Within 48 hours and 24 hours before the flight takes off, two different testing institutions in the same consular area, using different reagents, each conduct a nucleic acid test, and the two sampling intervals are more than 24 hours. Special reminder: 48 hours and 24 hours before flight departure are accurate to the hour (sampling time). For other relevant requirements and information, please refer to the official announcement issued by the Chinese Embassy and consulates in Spain.

        2. In order to ensure inspection of health codes and test results of the two nucleic acid tests are carried out smoothly before boarding, passengers are requested to check that they have obtained a health code issued by the Chinese Embassy and consulate in Spain, and to bring with them two hard-copy nucleic acid test reports when going to the airport for check in. Our check-in staff will collect and retain these after on-site inspection. Passengers without a valid health code issued by the Chinese Embassy and consulates in Spain will not be able to board the aircraft.

         3. The check-in counter for Air China flights departing from Madrid is in T1. Passengers should arrive at the airport 4 hours in advance for check in. Flights departing from Beijing are at Beijing Capital International Airport T3.

        4. For the health of yourself and others, please take relevant epidemic prevention measures to strengthen personal protection. Avoid non-essential travel before traveling. After completing two nucleic acid tests, you should self isolate at home to prevent post-test infection. Wear a mask and maintain a social distance of 1 meter when checking in. Preventative measures should be taken for the entire journey, during the flight and after landing at the destination airport, to minimize the risk of infection.

        5. Continue to do a good job of monitoring your health. If you experience any suspicious symptoms, you should consult a doctor as soon as possible,truthfully report the symptoms to the Chinese Embassy and consulates in Spain,and cancel your trip to China.
