criteria will still need to obtain a visa for entry before traveling to China.
Visa-free Transit Policy
72/144 hours240 hours
Starting from December 17, 2024, the visa-free transit policy will be fully relaxed
and
optimized. The maximum stay for foreigners eligible for visa-free transit will be
extended
from
the original 72 hours and 144 hours to 240 hours (10 days). In addition, 21 new
entry ports
will
be added for individuals eligible for visa-free transit to enter and exit the
country, and
the
permissible area for activities during the stay will be further expanded.
