On the homepage of the Air China website, there is a flight booking feature. Please fill in the information for your desired flight and follow the booking pages to complete your booking. On the last page, you will need to input your payment details. Once the payment is completed, the ticket will be issued and you will receive an email confirmation sent to the email address you supplied during the booking. If you encounter any problems during the booking process, please contact the Air China office nearest to you or our Call Center. Details are as follows:
The validity period of a special fare ticket is calculated according to related regulations. The validity period of a normal fare ticket which includes a one-way, round trip or multiple segment trip is one year. The validity period of an open ticket (non-scheduled flight) is calculated from 00:00 (zero hour) of the day after the date of the ticket issuance. The validity period of a fixed time ticket (scheduled flight) is calculated from the date after the commencement of travel. For all unused tickets, the validity period is one year from the date of issuance.
If you would like to change the flight route, the date of the flight or the class of service, please contact Air China as soon as possible. Changes will be made depending on the type of ticket that was purchased and the seat availability. According to ticket regulations, you may be required to pay an additional fee for any ticket changes.
If you would like to request a refund, it will be handled
according to the type of ticket that was purchased. Refunds can only be
processed within the validity period of the ticket either at the original
purchase place of the ticket or an alternative place agreed upon by Air China.
For electronic ticket purchases on the website, please submit your refund request online.
If you have any questions regarding a ticket change, please contact a local Air China office.
In accordance with U.S. regulations, tickets purchased on Air China's U.S. website may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase if the reservation is made more than seven days in advance of departure, and the ticket must include transportation from/to the U.S. To cancel a ticket, submit a cancellation request on Air China's U.S. website, and then call Air China's U.S. hotline on +1-800-882-8122.
Ticket for unaccompanied minors cannot be booked online. You will have to contact a local Air China office to purchase a ticket for unaccompanied minors.
After you have completed the online payment, a confirmation page will appear on your computer screen displaying the flight information including the order number, departure and arrival cities and the flight fare. You also will receive a confirmation email sent to the email address you provided during the booking. The confirmation email will contain your itinerary, which can be used as a reimbursement voucher, and your e-ticket number. The e-ticket number confirms that your booking was completed on the web. If you do not receive the confirmation email containing your e-ticket number within 24 hours after making payment online, please contact local Air China office or call center at your earliest convenience to confirm that your purchase has been processed.
At the time of ticket purchase, if your request is accepted, the reservation system will reply with “Request Accepted”; otherwise, with “Request Rejected”. You don’t need to confirm your request with us again before travel.
Tickets for children (who have attained the age of 2 but are under the age of 12) accompanied by adults during travel and tickets for infants (who are under the age of 2) are available for purchase on our website.
An e-ticket must carry the real name of the passenger and it is not allowed to change to passenger name. Please make sure that you provide the correct passenger name at the time of ticket booking.
It means that yours is a ticket for students studying overseas.
One adult can travel with up to 3 children under the age of 5 (not included) or one infant and two children under the age of 5 (not included), or 2 infants (for one of whom an infant ticket must be purchased for). There is no limit on the number of children above the age of 5(included) an adult can travel with.
